I’m Anthony Di Fazio, a clothing designer and process artist based in Windsor, Ontario.
You’ll notice that my designs feature unique and interesting shapes. For me, art has always been about recycling and repurposing objects. I’m constantly on the lookout for materials—whether it’s weeds, sticks, broken records, beach plastics, or plastic bag warning labels—that I can transform into something new.
This process of collecting and reusing materials is at the heart of my clothing prints. Each piece becomes a visual link to its origin, almost like a form of camouflage blending with the environment. It's a way of giving life to things that would otherwise be discarded.
In addition to clothing, I express myself through illustration. I use clothing as a canvas to express my feelings and create images that reflect my ideas. I’m never fixed on one idea or process, so my art style tends to shift, constantly evolving.
My practice spans many areas of art, including painting, performance art, sculpting, printmaking, and sound. My background in fine arts from Fanshawe College helped refine my skills, and I’ve been honored with recognition through awards like the Zubickz Group Sculpting Project Award, Bob and Shelly Siskind Visual Arts Award, and Satellite Project Space Award.
When I’m not working on my art, you’ll probably find me at the skatepark or out collecting discarded objects from local beaches and alleys. And when I’m not designing, I’m on stage playing in one of my three bands.
I hope my clothing encourages others to embrace a resourceful, sustainable mindset and remind us that we can create something new from the leftover scraps of our world.
